BETA-IATEFL 2012 Competition
DEAR BETA MEMBERS,
We are happy to announce the FOURTH ROUND OF BETA COMPETITION open to all of you who would like to give it a try. The topic this year will be Cultural Awareness.
We believe that there will be many members of BETA who are ready to prepare a lesson or a teacher training session on this wide-ranged topic and win this year’s prize!

The winning entries will be uploaded on BETA’s website along with the 21st BETA Conference presentations and papers.
Simply choose anything related to Bulgarian, British or any other culture, traditions, customs; make a cultural awareness lesson, try it out with your students / trainees and share your experience with the rest of us afterwards.
To enter the competition you have to prepare a lesson plan (see the attached template) and possibly take pictures or video-record the main stages of the lesson in the classroom.
Please attach the lesson plan, all materials (HO, course book pages…) used during the lesson, pictures / video of the classroom (optional) and email them before 15 January 2012 to Tanya Spahiyska at tspahiyska@gmail.com, providing your name, contact number / e-mail and school / organization.

Live video transmission of the ECML conference on 29 September- 1 October 2011
Over 200 language education specialists from all over Europe and from Canada will participate in the closing conference of the “Empowering Language Professionals (2008-2011)” European Centre for Modern Languages Programme that will take place on 29 September – 1 October 2011.
The event will present the results of 23 projects within the Centre’s programme ‘Empowering language professionals’ (2008-2011) and will launch the 4th medium term ECML Programme “Learning through languages” with about 20 new projects and new thematic strands.
