The annual conference of the Cyprus Teachers of English Association
LANGUAGE LEARNING: A RESPONSE TO CHALLENGING TIMES?
November 9-10, 2013
EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY CYPRUS, Nicosia
CALL FOR PAPERS
The annual CyTEA conference is the highlight of the year for Cyprus EFL teachers. It is an event aimed to give EFL teachers – from all levels and all sectors of education – a forum where they can share innovative teaching ideas, their concerns, experiences and successes, good teaching tips and action research results.
The conference aims to host practical and theoretical presentations which can improve our understanding of developments in the field and enhance our classroom practices. During these difficult times this is now even more imperative as language learning may be the key for survival and economic growth.
Papers addressing a variety of aspects in the teaching of EFL from all sectors and all levels are relevant to the conference. We want to hear what you are doing in your classes, what innovations you implemented and what new ideas and knowledge you can share with the profession.
Our plenary speakers are:
Luke Prodromou – presenting on the timely issue of `The price and value of education’
David A. Hill – presenting on `Language Play’
David Gibson – presenting on `Building Confidence and Trust in the Classroom to Enhance Learning’
Proposals for contributions to the conference should be submitted by 29th September 2013.
